Monday - Rest day.
Tuesday - I went for my scheduled run - 2 miles. I actually did 2.17 miles, a quick loop of my neighborhood in 25:38 for a pace of 11:48. I had a headache, this run felt yucky.
Wednesday - I was scheduled to run 2 miles again this day, but I was feeling off and tired and achy. I skipped the run and decided to use the foam roller and stick instead and do some deep stretching. It was painful, but necessary. I have a love/hate relationship with the foam roller and stick. It hurts like hell, but it helps.
Thursday - Again, another short 2 miler on the schedule. I did the same loop of the neighborhood that I did on Tuesday, 2.17 miles, in 22:37 for a pace of 10:25. I actually was supposed to go for a slow, easy run. At one point I looked down at my watch and my pace was around 8:15. Oops! So, I slowed WAY down. Anyway, it felt good to get out and run, but I really hate short runs. Seriously, not my thing, AT ALL.
Friday - Scheduled rest day. And, I rested. I actually went to get a massage after work. It was nice and relaxing. I told the massage therapist that I needed a gentle relaxing massage, nothing too intense so I wouldn't be sore. It was lovely and worth every penny.
Saturday - Our last team run of the season followed by race prep. 5.02 miles in 58:35, pace 11:40. I really didn't want to get up for this run. But, after I felt so much better. We finished up the season with race prep for Alaska, and now I'm even more excited. Can.Not.Wait.
Sunday - Another scheduled rest day.
On tap for this week is a lot of hydration, a couple of short runs (2 miles each) on Tuesday and Wednesday and packing. Then I leave for Alaska first thing Thursday morning. I'm also going to try to go for a short 2-3 mile run on Friday morning and then Saturday is race day!! SO EXCITED!!!
I can still use your support to get across the finish line. Please consider making a 100% tax deductible donation to LLS and support me as I run my next marathon.
Thank you!

I'm sure you'll do great in the marathon! I ran my first one April 30 of this year and the 18 weeks before definitely seemed to fly by. Best of luck!
