Saturday was practice number 2 for Team in Training summer season. It was supposed to be pouring rain. But, instead it was a clear, chilly beautiful day. That morning when my alarm went off the last thing I wanted to do was get up and go for a run. It took me until the last possible minute to throw myself out of bed and go for a run. It turned out to be such a beautiful day and a good run. I ran mostly by myself, which I have grown to love. My pace was pretty good too. I did about 10:30 minute miles. We did just over three miles and I used an interval of 1 mile run, 1 minute walk, and even with the 2 one minue walks I still did a 10:30 pace. The first mile or so was kind of blah, the beginning of every run is like that for me, but I started to find a groove and did the 3 miles easily. The best part of the whole thing was that my knee didn't hurt while I was running or after. Yay!
Please take a look at my fundraising page and consider making a doation to help get me to Alaska and to help find a cure for blood cancer:
